Welcome to fun and fabulous Japanese language and culture page!
This newsletter is for those who are interested in learning Japanese language and/or culture.
It is fun!
For example, Japanese has rich vocabulary for abbreviation words, onomatopoeia and fabulous mimetic words.
Can you guess what these words mean:
a) sumaho, korabo, rimokon, and konsaba
These abbreviation words are based on English words, which you should know.
b) wakuwaku, yuruyuru, gussuri, and chinpunkanpun
These are mimetic words.
I had a lecture “Basic Japanese,” including those abbreviation words and mimetic words, at Polyglot gathering in Berlin.
Now it is your turn!
I will send you the first email right away. Then you receive an email almost weekly.
